Fabulous fabrics for Autumn

Autumn is upon us and with the change of season comes a return to warm, rich fabrics.  This season’s David Nieper AW17  collection features an array of beautiful velvets, silks and luxury yarns making wrapping up against the elements a pleasure.

Beautiful fabric is one of the things that make our garments extra special, our design team select the finest fabrics from around the world that are soft and comfortable against the skin, drape well and hold their colour after multiple washes.

New for this season, we are using fine stretch silk for the first time. The deep blue fabric with a delicate polka dot print has a beautiful sheen and lustre and the natural ‘give’ in the fabric allows extra movement. Silk is a very light, natural fibre – it allows your skin to breathe making it supremely comfortable as well as beautiful to wear.

Rich velvets bring glamour and depth to the winter wardrobe. Our soft velvet devoré tunic in sapphire is new for this season; the lightweight fabric is beautifully textured using a traditional textile design technique and catches the light beautifully.

Jacquard is the perfect fabric for elegant evening wear; the style of weave enhances and adds a beautiful plush texture to a fabric.  This season’s collection features a black evening top and full skirt in Jacquard weave which is incredibly soft and hangs beautifully.

Merino yarns area firm favourite in knitwear and are great for layering and keeping warm in the winter months.   Merino is very fine, silky yarn and incredibly versatile, it is clean and takes patterns and colour really well, always giving a great finished garment.

This year we have more colour choice than ever in our knitwear collection featuring classic and contemporary styles in a wide range of new colours.
